Two noteworhty classical guitarists will present an evening of solo and duet performances.
Dmitry Koudymov – is a guitarist and teacher based out of the Los Angeles area. He has
been active in Southern California for over 20 years, performing as a soloist, in guitar
combos and ensembles as well as collabs with world music composers. He offers a dynamic program including Spanish music and piano transcriptions. Dmitry earned a doctorate from USC’s Thornton School of Music and is presently a music professor at Orange Coast & Coastline Community Colleges and runs a youth guitar & uke program for the city of Newport Beach. His recorded music is available on all streaming platforms (Artist names: Dmitry Koudymov, Polar Son, & Orange County Guitar Orchestra).
Sean Samimi - is a music performance graduate from the Cleveland Institute of Music and
the Thornton School of Music at USC who excelled with two Rosalia Ablan Memorial Prizes in guitar. His mentors included Scott Tennant, William Kanengiser, Pepe Romero, Jason
Vieaux, and John Holmquist. Sean joined Opus 3 Artists, LLC in 2009, where he honed his
skills managing world renowned instrumental soloists, composers, and conductors. In
2013, Sean joined the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, producing world-class
orchestras on the Segerstrom Concert Hall stage. He founded Aranjuez Artists, Inc. in 2015, representing artists in North America. A sought-after lecturer, he shares insights on music business, performance, and entrepreneurship at prestigious institutions. Sean’s influence extends to festivals, competitions, and educational roles, cementing his place in the music industry.
