Bakersfield Bound is a tribute to the great Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, the seminal figures in the creation of West Coast Country and The Bakersfield Sound. Their incredible talent as songwriters and performers initiated a new and original sub-genre which was a significant departure from the polished sounds of the Nashville establishment. Their work has been cited as a critical influence in the emergence of Country Rock and Americana.
Bakersfield Bound is performed by guitarist/ vocalist Crist Moshos with passion and authenticity. He has listened to, performed, and loved this music all his life. Crist is well-known for his work with Broken Arrow Band, as well as his solo projects including "EFIRECAT: The Cat Stevens Tribute", "FIRE & RAIN: The James Taylor Tribute", "IMAGINE: The John Lennon Tribute", "THE BRITISH INVASION SHOW", and "LAUREL CANYON REVISITED”.
