Martin SC-10E Road Series Acoustic -Electric Guitar

Though we tend to associate Martin guitars with tradition, the new SC-10E shows the folks at Martin are quite capable of innovation as well. A unique new shape, and innovative neck joint and a suite of modern features make this a great player's guitar, but when you sit down for some quiet acoustic picking, you still know you are playing a Martin.

The first this you notice about the SC-10E is the body shape: an offset waist with an elegant soft cutaway. This guitar is very comfortable to play either standing or sitting. The next thing you will notice is the neck joint which is a completely new design, smoothly curving away from the body and allowing for full access to playing all the way up the fretboard. This design should also allow for relatively easy neck angle adjustments. The solid Sitka Spuce top produces a rich and focused tone and the Koa veneer back and sides are a treat for the eyes. The guitar comes equipped with a Fishman MX-T pickup system and a very handy electronic tuner neatly concealed inside the soundhole. The SC-10E comes in a high quality rigid soft case, convenient for getting around to gigs, jams or campouts.

Most of all, this guitar won us over when we sat down and played it.
