Taylor describes the Builder's Edition as a "directors cut" version of their standard models. Guitar designer Andy Powers conceived a suite of enhancements to their usual 614ce to maximize comfort, aesthetics and playability, including a beveled armrest, beveled body edge treatment and a double-carved cutaway for comfort and ease of access to higher frets. Taylor's new Silent Satin finish looks elegant and minimizes contact noise. Gold Gotoh 510 tuners (21:1 ratio) and a Wild Honey Burst finish complete the picture. The Combination of Sitka Spruce and maple supports a clean, transparent and responsive sound. It looks great in pictures, buy you really have to hold this guitar in your hands to appreciate what a wonder of guitar craftsmanship it is.
