Martin Ned Steinberger Designs DCRNS with Trans Action neck, Limited Edition 2002

This is a rare one indeed, it is numbered 22 of 100, but we understand they may have made  less than half that many. This guitar has never been owned, except by us the Authorized Dealers. We displayed it for a while back when it was new, and when it didn't sell, we set it aside and maybe forgot about it for a couple decades.

This guitar came from a collaboration between C.F. Martin and famed guitar designer Ned Steinberger. It is quite unlike any other Martin, or really any other acoutic guitar. It's main innovation is the Trans Action neck, which allows the neck angle to be adjusted manually without removing the neck, usung a wheel inside the sound hole. This has several potential benefits. You could adjust your action on the fly, without even loosening the strings. You could refine the set up of the guitar with different neck angles find the perfect feel for your individual playing style. And maybe best of all, it will never need a neck reset, a difficult and expensive process that is sometimes required on fine guitars as they age.
